Spring is here at WindyN

Spring has sprung and there are wildflowers everywhere (right now they are blowing in the wind). Last week we branded the calves and gave all the cows and calves their shots. The hands are seeding the alfalfa fields and the water has been turned on. The baby pigs are frisky and growing like weeds - our grandson, Evan, loves the baby pigs.

Apple Cider

One of our favorite family traditions is making cider from our apples and pears grown on the ranch. Every fall, family and friends gather to wash the apples and take turns on the hand cranking cider press. The chickens are always happy to have the leftover pulp and we're happy about having cider for another year.

Babies on the Way

Right now at The Windy N Ranch we have 7 new baby cows and 32 more on the way! Even our youngest little cowboy is ready to help!
